Company information: KRUCH SIDOS SL was created in 2016 and it is the local company from Kruch Railway Innovations GmbH & Co KG, which is one of the leading Austrian railway companies. We have experience in the railway sector since more than 140 years. We are an agile company where workers have a lot of impact Our products combine not only the best functionality but also a high user-friendly utilization. They offer an impressive cost potential cut down and they reduce also the life cycle costs. The research and development are a key priority in our company. New products and services are developed in Vienna and Barcelona every year and are brought into the market. We thank our success to our more than 20 workers team, who with their work have shaped the international Railway sector positively. In 2013 was launched a new IT department, which is oriented to the international market. Now is the time to grow and reinforce our team here in Barcelona. In 2015 was installed our first sensor and since then we are also working in the introduction of monitoring systems in the Railway industry. In 2018 we installed our first Checkpoint that automatically controls the carbon pieces of the current collectors of the Trolleybuses. We have done projects in The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Finland and Spain. Our goal is to grow in Europe and why not other overseas countries. Your role: You will join the Mobility 4.0 Division and your main role will be programming digital twins of transportation companies (Trams, metros, trolleys, trains, ebus). You will be assigned to a project from the very beginning to the end. That means that everything runs under your responsibility. From the extracting the info from raw data (diagrams, gps coordinates), to training the customer on how to use the simulation. Your competences: Flexible, creative, conscientious, costumer oriented, independent, reliable, committed, accurate, effective, concentrated, self-critic and long-term thinking Self-management, do what is necessary to reach the goals in time Your responsibilities: • Import and process coordinates or drawings of the elements that form a railway electrical network, • Extract the valuable information from technical documents from the infrastructure and rolling stock, • Visualize the information using Google Earth, • Build and maintain the digital twin using the Matlab language and Simulink environment, • Document code used and kept it updated with Visual Studio, • Test and calibrate models against measured data to ensure accuracy., • Lead web conferences with internal and external technicians to share information and coordinate work, • Present project status and results to customers, • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for clients, • Travel to customer facilities as required to support projects or training, • Understand when and how to apply AI You need: • Capacity of solving complex problems in the electrical field, • Good communication skills (writing and speaking), • Fast learning ability, • Accomplish the milestones that are set on the project, • To be able to see and analyse objectives from different point of views (including the customers point of view), • Create simple and intelligent data online solutions, • Exceed customers’ expectations We offer: • As a small, agile company, we work without rigid hierarchies — no fancy titles, just open collaboration with everyone, including the CEO, • Mid-level hands-on engineering position with real project ownership; although open to juniors, • A challenging work environment with high degree of autonomy and responsibility, • An open, welcoming atmosphere where ideas and initiative are valued, • Training in the use of our programs (Matlab / Simulink), • Training in the electrical and railway engineering fields Requirements: • Finished University degree or secondary technical school in an industrial or engineering field, • Detailed knowledge and experience in programming in MATLAB language, • Knowledge in the use of simulations programs (e.g. Simulink), • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft OfficeTM, • Desired experience on documenting the code changes in Visual Studio or similar, • Desired knowledge of railway networks and their feeding systems, • Desired experience with electrical systems Experience: Relevant work experience or project involvement in engineering, electrical systems, or simulation is appreciated Experience abroad — through internships, exchange programs, or studies — is a strong advantage Language skills: • Spanish / Catalan, • English knowledge: C1 - advanced, • German knowledge: A2- basic is desired Salary and working conditions: • The length of the contract is undefined, • Working time is set to 40h/Week. You have to be available: a. Monday to Thursday 10:00 – 16:00 b. Friday 09:00 – 14:00 c. Flexitime is available • Flexible working: 1 day home and 4 at the office is the standard, • Retirement plan (150 €/Year worked), • Possible intensive working hours in summer, • Trial period of 3 months, • Expected gross salary 27.000 €/Year – 32.000 €/ Year, • Collective agreement of engineering companies (“Convenio colectivo nacional de empresas de ingeniería y oficinas de estudios técnicos”), • Commissions are possible on success Vacations: 23 Workdays/Year + 24/12 and 31/12
