The Role of Cook: The Four Seasons Hotel Madrid is looking for a Cook to join our team. The Cook is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. The Cook prepares breakfast, lunch an/or dinner per guest orders from all outlets in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment. • Prepare food items of consistent quality according to guest orders following recipe, as well as production, portion, and presentation standards Operate, maintain and properly clean kitchen equipment, including, food processor, mixer, oven., • Maintain a clean and efficient station., • Strong knowledge of health codes and full understanding of all knife cuts, • Label and date all food containers and rotates as per policies, • Determines necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up, • Returns all food items not used to designated storage areas., • Manage and prioritize tasks by shift. Our Ideal Cook will have: Our ideal Cook candidate have excellents teamwork skills. Attention to detail and the ability to multi task are required. The Cook position is required to operate, maintain and properly clean all pastry shop equipment. Applicants also are required to have a trade apprenticeship or other form of register training in the culinary discipline. It is required minimum two years of culinary experience in a luxury restaurant or similar. Basic knowledge of kitchen tools and culinary operations is required. Position also requires continuous standing for up to 8 hrs per shift and the ability to lift up to 30Kg. Applicants also are needed to have a flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays. Fluency in reading, writing, and spoken English and Spanish is also required. About the role: We currently have an opportunity for a talented and creative Banquet Sous-Chef to join our Four Seasons Hotel Madrid team! Reporting into the Banquet chef, you will assist in leading the daily operation of the Banquets kitchen. Responsibilities will include selection, talent management and development of our culinary team, pl, food costs, banquet events, hygiene and sanitation, effective planning, budgeting, and purchasing decisions, policy making and inventory control, and ensuring our guests feel receive the highest levels of service excellence consistently. What you will do Managing the banquet kitchen operations and ensuring all production tasks are completed efficiently and on time. Supervising and coordinating the banquet kitchen team, ensuring smooth communication and workflow during service. Assisting in the creation and design of banquet menus that align with event requirements, seasonality, and the hotel’s culinary standards. Ensuring consistency in recipes, plating, and presentation across all banquet dishes. Monitoring and managing stock levels, ensuring accurate ordering and minimal waste for banquet production. Leading, training, and motivating the banquet culinary team with a focus on quality, discipline, and teamwork. Executing cooking techniques to prepare and present dishes according to established menus and event specifications. Maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety throughout the banquet kitchen. Ensuring all kitchen equipment and utensils are properly cleaned, maintained, and stored. Collaborating with the Banquet Chef, Executive Chef, and Events team to ensure seamless coordination and excellent guest experience. What you bring Culinary degree or equivalent qualification.
