Job requirements: The Legal Officer provides day‑to‑day legal and compliance support, ensuring the company operates in line with applicable laws, internal policies, and corporate standards while enabling smooth business operations. Key responsibilities Contract Management Draft, review, negotiate and proofread commercial agreements (e.g., distribution, sales, procurement). Ensure contracts meet legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirements. HR Legal Support Advise on employment law, internal policies, and HR‑related legal questions. Support HR with preparing and managing employment documentation and handling labour‑law issues. Compliance Support implementation and ongoing monitoring of GDPR, Whistleblowing system, and Code of Conduct. Contribute to compliance training for employees and support other compliance‑related tasks. Cooperate with supervisory authorities when needed. Implement internal group policies at the local level and ensure compliance with corporate standards. Regularly monitor and assess changes in relevant legislation. Ensure compliance with applicable local laws and sector‑specific regulations Compliance reporting to regional headquarters Government & Regulatory Procedures Support filings, reporting, and communication with state authorities, including permits and licenses. Assist in handling inspections and complex administrative procedures. Candidate profile Bachelor’s or master’s degree in law 3+ years of relevant experience in a legal, compliance, or regulatory role (experiences in home-appliance industry is a plus) Strong ability to work independently while also being an engaged, collaborative team player. High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional judgment Practical, solution-oriented approach to problem solving. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail; able to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present information clearly. Fluent in English and Spanish and lovely Portuguese must ; additional languages are an advantage. Excellent command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
