Together with our tech partners we provide high‑throughput smallsats and their subsystems. Our brand‑new factory in Madrid is suited to integrate satellites and constellations. /p pWe are looking for a Payloads System Engineer with the mission of acting as the key expert in space‑based telecommunication payloads within the company, leading the definition and implementation of satellite payload solutions across various projects, including a satellite constellation. /p h3Tasks to be performed: /h3 ul liDefine the end‑to‑end communication payloads architecture, ensuring traceability from mission objectives to system‑level requirements. /li liDefine performance requirements based on mission requirements, operational constraints (Power budget, mass dim budget, Thermal, Radiation) and regulatory compliance. /li liPerform analysis and simulations of link budgets for space environments. /li liConduct trade‑off studies between different subsystems configuration and technologies, ensuring performance vs complexity balance (OT/OC/OQ). /li liDefine adaptive resource allocation based on dynamic mission needs. /li liEnsure compliance with requirements for integration with satellite platform. /li liSupport Validation System Engineer in the development of the qualification and validation plan (Component level qual, System level validation, End‑to‑end payload validation). /li liDefine on‑ground and in‑orbit validation methodologies to ensure compliance with mission performances. /li liCollaborate with AIT engineers to optimize testing sequences, integration procedures and troubleshooting. /li liSubcontractor Management and oversight: ul liDefine technical specifications and compliance requirements for payload subsystems suppliers. /li liAssist in RFP preparation. /li liEvaluate technical proposals. /li liLead regular design review milestones participation (SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR). /li liCompatibility verification between subcontractor deliverables and overall payload architecture. /li liCollaborate in schedule tracking to prevent delays in deliveries. /li liDefine Acceptance Test Plans for subcontracted subsystems ensuring test reports and validation documentation is aligned with project requirements. /li liIdentify critical risks in suppliers. /li liDefine contingency plans for delays and non‑conformities. /li liWork with system engineers and AIT to implement design modification in case subcontractor deviations. /li /ul /li liEnsure compliance with space industry standards and protocols. /li liParticipate in new product development tasks including planning, task estimation, design, verification, integration, and release. /li liResearch and evaluate new technologies and standards in space communications. /li liEvaluate and recommend hardware development process improvements in collaboration with engineering management. /li liCreate and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for projects. /li liCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure program goals are met. /li /ul h3Required skills, experience and candidate profile: /h3 ul liBachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering / Telecommunications or similar /li liMSc in Electronics Engineering / Telecommunications or similar /li liMinimum of 7 years’ experience in a similar position /li liPrevious experience in the design and development of space communication systems. /li liExtensive experience in RF system design and active antenna development. /li liExtensive experience in phased arrays and RF architectures design. /li liPrior experience with SDR technologies and related components. /li liUnderstanding of space segment environmental constraints. /li liFamiliarity with software tools for communication systems simulation and analysis. /li liStrong analytical skills and problem‑solving capabilities. /li liAbility to work in collaborative and multidisciplinary environments. /li liEffective communication and reporting skills. /li liFluency in English and Spanish. /li liEligible to work in EU. /li /ul pThe position is located in our Headquarters of Torrejon de Ardoz (Madrid). /p pWe're looking for curious, creative, tenacious and collaborative people, eager to do things and unafraid to tackle challenges in order to contribute to improving the society in which we live. /p pThink Big, Do the Job Enjoy Life /p pAt ARQUIMEA, we value diversity and inclusion.
