Company Description IDEADED is a Spanish deep-tech company with over 10 years of experience developing next-generation semiconductor technologies. We combine advanced research, design innovation, and process engineering to create solutions that go beyond traditional silicon and support Europe’s technological sovereignty. Driven by scientific excellence and industrial impact, IDEADED is building a more sustainable and competitive microelectronics ecosystem. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site position for a highly motivated researcher with a strong background in ab initio electronic-structure methods and a keen interest in machine learning for materials science. The position focuses on the physics and chemistry of interfaces and excited-state calculations using many-body perturbation theory (GW/BSE), while leveraging AI techniques (deep learning, neural networks, tensor networks) to accelerate simulations and discover new materials properties. The successful candidate will join an interdisciplinary project aimed at understanding and engineering electronic and optical properties of heterostructures, surfaces, and low-dimensional materials, combining first-principles accuracy with data-driven approaches. The role involves close collaboration with experimental partners and requires both independent research and teamwork. Qualifications • Solid understanding of electronic structure theory, many-body physics, and dielectric screening, • Strong expertise in density functional theory (DFT) using codes such as VASP, Quantum ESPRESSO, FHI-aims, GPAW, ABINIT., • Strong programming or scripting skills (Python, Bash, Fortran, C++)., • Experience simulating interfaces, heterojunctions, or surface phenomena., • Documented experience in excited-state calculations (GW/BSE)., • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills., • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams., • Passion for continuous learning and innovation., • PhD in Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, Nanoscience, or related field is required;
