Project Engineer. The candidate selected for this role will be working with the Office of General service, representing LeChase. In the role of the (EIC) Engineer in Charge, is to be the on-site representative that oversees construction activities for 3 Project sites. The EIC will visit at least 2 of the sites daily to oversee the contractors working on site making sure the structure was being constructed in accordance with the contract Documents. While on site the EIC would confirm materials being delivered are in accordance with the approved submittals and complete the paperwork associated all materials delivered to the jobsite. The EIC would make sure the contractors are working safely and in accordance with OGS and OSHA standards and consult with OGS's Area Safety Inspector if required. The EIC will complete daily reports of their observations noting work being performed, weather conditions, materials delivered, schedule impacts, safety issues and include photos of work activities of that day. The EIC will conduct the Bi-Weekly job meetings and provide meeting minutes to document the items reviewed at the meeting. The EIC will attend the bi-weekly scheduling meetings with the OGS Scheduling Coordinator and Contractors confirming update information provided by the contractor. The EIC will review submittals, RFI's as they were submitted by the contractor concurrently with OGS Design. The EIC will review change order requests and communicate any issues they would find to OGS Estimate Reviewer. The EIC will review and approve the Contractors monthly payment applications and send them on to the OGS Area Supervisor for their final approval. The EIC will complete the bi-weekly project update reports on DC Net and will participate in the weekly project update call in meeting.
