ROLE PURPOSE The Finance Analyst Intern supports the Finance team across FP&A, accounting, and tax activities, helping ensure accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow monitoring across Verdian’s multi-country renewable energy platform. The role contributes to both recurring processes and ad-hoc analysis, supporting the growing complexity and volume of financial activities across the group. The role operates day-to-day with a good level of autonomy within defined objectives and guidance, executing defined tasks within established processes and frameworks. Work involves some variability with generally known solutions; the role makes task-level execution decisions within established procedures and resolves issues through known resolution paths. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for group and entity-level reporting, producing reliable outputs for management decision-making., • Assist in monthly and annual accounting close, including review support for P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery., • Support tax compliance processes and coordination with external advisors across jurisdictions, helping maintain quality and consistency of supporting data and submissions., • Prepare and maintain financial models, reports, and dashboards to inform management decision-making, with a focus on data quality, structure, and usability., • Support audit processes by contributing to audit readiness, data consistency, and timely provision of requested information., • Support treasury monitoring and cash flow forecasting activities, contributing to forecast reliability and disciplined tracking of cash movements., • Own specific analyses, reporting tasks, and recurring deliverables within defined FP&A, accounting, and tax processes, under supervision., • Deliver against day-to-day success measures, including: accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and analysis; quality and reliability of budgets, forecasts, and dashboards; audit readiness and data consistency; cash flow forecast accuracy; and ability to independently manage assigned tasks and deadlines. KEY SKILLS / TOOLS Technical skills & tools • Advanced Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas), • Financial reporting and accounting knowledge, • Power BI or similar BI tools (nice to have), • ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Business Central, Odoo or similar), • Strong analytical and data organization skills Experience • Ideally prior experience through internships, traineeships, or a first full-time role in FP&A, accounting, audit, or consulting, • Exposure to financial reporting, budgeting, audit, or multi-entity environments is a plus Education • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or similar, • Enrollment in or recent completion of a Master’s degree is a plus
