CT19 is working exclusively with an early-stage climate technology company based in Paris developing a novel electrochemical process aimed at dramatically improving energy efficiency and cost in carbon management technologies. The team is growing quickly and is backed by experienced advisors and strong technical collaborators. This is an opportunity to join at a formative stage and contribute directly to the development of a breakthrough climate solution. About the Role The team is recruiting a hands-on Lab Technician (electrochemistry) to support the assembly, operation, and testing of experimental hardware central to the company’s core technology. Working closely with engineers and scientists, you will help build and maintain electrochemical and mechanical systems, operate test benches, and monitor experiments in a fast-paced R&D environment. This role requires precision, reliability, and a strong safety mindset. You will work with sensitive instrumentation, pressurised systems, chemicals, and both wet and dry lab procedures. Your work will directly enable rapid experimentation and iteration, and your observations will inform improvements in both product design and lab processes. Lab Technician - Electrochemistry responsibilities • Perform basic chemistry tasks such as preparing cell components and formulating solutions, • Assemble mechanical, electrochemical, and fluid components with high precision and repeatability, • Build, modify, and operate laboratory test benches, • Monitor experiments, identify abnormal behaviour, and support troubleshooting activities, • Install and handle sensors, fittings, tubing, and instrumentation for test setups, • Provide practical feedback to the technical team on design, usability, and assembly processes, • Maintain a clean, organised laboratory environment and follow all safety procedures, • Document assembly steps, test results, and observations clearly for internal use, • Uphold strict safety standards when working with chemicals, pressurised systems, and lab equipment Lab Technician - Electrochemistry requirements • Practical experience in chemical laboratories, including wet lab work, • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry preferred, • Strong understanding of electrochemistry, • Experience in precision assembly or high-volume technical assembly, • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and diagrams, • Familiarity with compression fittings, tubing, leak testing, and fluid handling, • Experience installing and handling sensors and laboratory instrumentation, • Strong understanding of standard lab practices such as handling glassware, weighing, and solution preparation, • Demonstrated awareness of laboratory and workplace safety, • Clear written and verbal communication skills, • Fluent in English, French is a plus What’s on Offer • Transportation coverage and Swile benefits, • The opportunity to join an early-stage climate tech company and play a critical role in its growth, • A collaborative and technically driven work environment with a steep learning curve, • The chance to contribute meaningfully to solutions addressing climate change, • A culture that values work ethic, intellectual honesty, and shared ownership Paris/Lab Technician/Electrochemistry/wet chemistry/assembly €Comp + benefits
