The prospective applicant needs to demonstrate the following:
· Ensuring a high level of compliance is always maintained.
· Creates friendly, secure atmosphere and tries to gain the trust and confidence of those in the home or under supervision.
· Plans and participates in games and leisure activities to encourage emotional, social, physical and intellectual development.
· Provides one-to-one counselling or group therapy.
· Maintains contact and discusses problems/progress with other staff and social workers.
· Selecting fun activities and entertainment such as games, reading and outdoor activities, helping the children with homework and other school projects.
· Preparing food, providing snacks, assisting with eating, monitoring sleep and taking care of hygiene, as instructed by parents.
· Keeping the children safe, keeping contact numbers at hand, alerting the parents immediately if there are any issues at home, then documenting any incident.
Skills, experience, and qualification required for the role.
· Proven experience as a Childminder or similar role.
· Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
· Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
Also Childminder must communicate professionally with the parents, including actively listening, responding, and engaging with the children. Clear and open communication prevents misunderstandings and ensures the children's needs are met
Experience in the similar role for 3 years is desirable.
