Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement maintenance policies, procedures, and standards. - Create and manage the maintenance department budget, including forecasting expenses and tracking expenditures. - Oversee the maintenance and repair of all machinery, equipment, and facilities. - Ensure that all maintenance work is carried out in a timely and efficient manner. - Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance program to minimise downtime. - Address any potential safety hazards or regulatory compliance issues immediately. - Develop long-term maintenance strategies to support the company's operational goals. - Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors, including negotiating contracts and ensuring work meets quality standards. - Oversee the procurement of maintenance supplies, equipment, and services. - Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible for audits and inspections. - Prepare and present regular reports on maintenance performance, including key metrics such as downtime, cost, and efficiency. - Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure the maintenance department remains efficient and effective.
