Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our financial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Responsibilities


Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports using accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and PeopleSoft
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently
Reconcile bank statements and ensure the integrity of financial data
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies
Provide mentorship to junior team members and support training initiatives in financial management practices
Collaborate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation
Monitor cash flow and assist in financial risk assessments
Maintain organised records of all financial transactions for audit purposes
Qualifications


Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role within the financial services sector
Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or equivalent systems
Strong understanding of financial management principles and accounting standards
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to analyse complex financial data accurately
Experience in mentoring or supporting team members is desirable
Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) are preferred but not essential
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
