We are seeking a confident and experienced Sous Chef to play a key leadership role in our kitchen, as we continue to redefine our concept under Jackson Boxer.


This is a hands-on role for a chef who thrives in fast-paced service, leads from the front, and is passionate about delivering exceptional food with consistency and precision.


What You’ll Do

  • Lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef, ensuring smooth operations
  • Take control of the pass during busy services, maintaining standards under pressure
  • Oversee inventory, ordering, and stock management
  • Ensure all records, HACCP, temperatures, and compliance are up to date
  • Train, mentor, and develop junior chefs, building a strong kitchen culture
  • Collaborate with FOH to deliver a seamless guest experience
  • Drive consistency, quality, and continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience as a Sous Chef or Senior CDP in a busy restaurant
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume services and the pass
  • Solid knowledge of food safety, allergens, and kitchen compliance systems
  • Experience with GP, labour cost control, and rotas
  • Natural leadership skills with a calm, solution-driven mindset
  • Passion for modern, ingredient-led cooking (Mexican experience a plus, not essential)
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
