The Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join our kitchen brigade. As Sous Chef, you will play a key role in supporting the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen management, from menu development and stock control to training junior staff and ensuring consistently high standards of food quality. Key Responsibilities
Support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen team and maintaining smooth daily operations.
Assist in the development and execution of seasonal menus, contributing ideas and creativity.
Uphold the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene.
Supervise and mentor junior chefs, fostering a positive and professional team culture.
Manage ordering, stock control, and waste reduction in line with budget targets.
Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and hygiene regulations.
Take charge of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.
About You
Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a high-quality restaurant.
Strong culinary skills with a passion for seasonal, fresh ingredients.
Leadership abilities with a hands-on, collaborative approach.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Calm and focused under pressure, with the ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
