BNY is seeking a Director to join our Client Tax team, located in London, UK. This leadership role spans product innovation, regulatory readiness, commercialization, and product governance, aligned to BNY’s strategic pillars: Be More for our Clients, Run our Company Better, and Power our Culture. In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: • Reporting to the Global Head of Tax within the Enterprise Custody Services platform, you will be responsible for leading the delivery on key strategic and client focused global tax initiatives covering withholding taxes, Financial Transaction Taxes and other securities taxes, • Design, plan and execute a comprehensive, prioritized roadmap balancing compliance mandates, client experience, and commercial value as aligned to company priorities, • Partner with Sales and Coverage teams to win complex custody tax deals by leading end-to-end solutioning. You will lead RFP responses, participate in client pitches and due diligence, define scalable operating and technology solutions tailored to client requirements, assess risk and control impacts, and align pricing and commercials to ensure a seamless transition from proposal to delivery, • Oversee and accelerate the expansion of the custody tax product coverage and capabilities by identifying opportunities, prioritizing enhancements, and delivering scalable, compliant solutions, • Manage and approve non-standard client service requests by leading solution design and cross-functional execution; perform assessments with corporate, business and operational partners; secure required governance/risk approvals; orchestrate cross functional delivery clear timelines, KPIs, and change management to drive client satisfaction To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: • Experience working at a global custodian, global asset manager and/or Big 4 firm working on international custody tax matters impacting global clients with a deep knowledge on domestic and foreign withholding taxes, tax relief systems, , capital gains and financial transaction taxes, • Brings strong skills in analysis, solution design, ability to lead cross functional teams, and hands-on execution, • Proven experience partnering with Sales on high-value, complex pitches and RFPs—shaping solutions, commercials, and client presentations to drive wins. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, • Self-driven with a focus on ownership and the ability to execute on projects, • Excellent time management skills required together with an ability to prioritize workload and multi-task activities for timely delivery and conclusion, • Proficient user for MS Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). We are currently recruiting for an Application Manager to join the Technology team on a full-time permanent basis, reporting into the Product Support Manager. As the European Application Manager you will form part of the European Technology team, working closely with the Global and European Technology leadership and process owners across the European markets. The Application Manager is responsible for ensuring the Product operations are efficiently delivered for the European businesses, ensuring all applications are available to the business for the maximum up time and any disruption in service is restored as quickly as possible. Application support is delivered through a mixture of external and internal resources which must be led and driven by the application manager to provide an exemplary service. The role is responsible for building relationships with business stakeholders to share key service information, ensure the correct level of service is being delivered to allow business objectives to be met and take business feedback, review processes and technical input to ensure continuous improvements are conducted. We are offering a hybrid working contract where you will be required to attend the office in Ashford, Kent or Hemel Hempstead 3 times per week, so you must be comfortable and flexible with travel and commuting for project and team meetings. Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities: • Daily handling of incoming cases and incidents relating to applications in the (functional area) area, • Act as an incident manager for priority 2 and priority 3 incidents, priority 1 will fall under the MIM process, • Daily planning and coordination of ongoing IT activities for (functional area), • Collaboration with the business stakeholders, suppliers, and project teams for (functional area), • Provide technical knowledge, expertise and contribute with system-specific technical competence in working groups that exist around included applications, • Management of system maintenance, minor development, patching, and upgrades., • Ensure system compliance with governing regulations (e.g. SOX, GDPR, Cyber security), • Develop, create and maintain routines and documentation for systems and working methods within the management object, • Work closely with vendors on ways of working, monitoring, alerting, continuous improvement, and active participation in QBRs and vendor forums, • Coordinate, lead, and engage stakeholders in IT and (functional area), • Oversee system testing and conduct functional and non-functional testing (e.g. system testing, integration testing, regression testing)., • Support business planning and execution for user acceptance testing., • Create and maintain system documentation (application versions, integrations, dependencies)., • Act as the subject matter expert on systems, supporting the business's needs and requirement processes., • There is a requirement for this position to be part of an on-call rota About you: To be successful in this role you will have a technical knowledge and understanding of both application development and application maintenance, (patching, bug fixes, upgrades, Cyber Security patching) and a technical knowledge and understanding of application and integration layers, as well as relationships and dependencies between technical components (servers, operating systems, database, integrations). You will have a good knowledge of ITIL V4, O365, IT security requirements and Risk Management. You’ll be experienced in writing technical documentation and can work effectively with cross-functional and European teams. Qualifications & Experience...• Previous supervisory or managerial experience with direct line management, including recruitment, development and team culture. • Experience in staff training and in creating, maintaining and updating SOPs., • Thorough understanding of current or comparable MCR systems, equipment and broadcast delivery models., • Clear insight into project impacts with the ability to identify mitigating solutions., • Expertise in troubleshooting technical issues and developing effective workarounds., • Operational knowledge of MCR technology and workflows, including SDI and IP video and audio routing., • Fundamental understanding of IT networking infrastructure., • Experience with broadcast control systems, ideally BNCS (packaging and direct routing) and Nevion Video IPath., • Experience working with a range of video standards, including UHD., • Understanding of video and audio timing principles., • Operational knowledge of tools used to diagnose video and audio issues, including waveform monitors and audio monitoring units., • Operational knowledge of professional satellite contribution equipment such as dish position controllers, spectrum analysers, transport stream analysers, receivers and decoders., • Familiarity with contribution standards including J2K, H264 and HEVC., • Understanding of the operational requirements of Ingest, Playout and Production facilities., • Experience maintaining and creating operational processes and procedures in collaboration with managers and other teams. The MCR operates 24/7/365.
