This role supports cutting-edge research and product development across electrification, hybrid, diesel, and powertrain systems, contributing to the next generation of sustainable technologies. Key Responsibilities: • Support engineering teams with product builds, strip/measure activities, and system testing., • Conduct electrical and mechanical diagnostics, analysis, and sign-off on prototype systems., • Perform electrical safety checks and testing using software and diagnostic tools., • Collaborate closely with internal engineering leads, suppliers, and customers to meet project targets., • Assist with data analysis and continuous improvement of testing and facility processes., • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and quality at all times. Skills & Experience Required: • Qualified in mechanical/electrical engineering – apprenticeship, ONC/HNC, degree, or equivalent experience., • Strong hands-on background in engine, transmission, or power system testing., • Proficient in diagnostic and calibration tools (e.g., CANape, service tools)., • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a team-oriented approach. Desirable: • Experience with high-voltage, hybrid, or electric vehicle systems., • Knowledge of powertrain, hydraulics, wiring, and fabrication., • Familiarity with new product introduction (NPI) processes.
