Site Manager – Façade Replacement (Newcastle)\n\nRole Overview\n\nAs Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of façade replacement and external envelope refurbishment works on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.\n\nWorking closely with the Project Manager and Construction Manager, you will coordinate labour, subcontractors, materials, and site logistics while maintaining strict compliance with Health & Safety legislation and project specifications. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, enabling them to identify risks, resolve technical issues, monitor project performance, and implement practical solutions to ensure successful project delivery.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nManage the daily operations of façade replacement and cladding remediation projects.\n\nSupervise direct labour, subcontractors, and specialist façade installers.\n\nEnsure all works are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to the required quality standards.\n\nCoordinate site activities, deliveries, plant, scaffolding, and access systems.\n\nConduct daily site inspections to monitor workmanship, quality, and Health & Safety compliance.\n\nReview drawings, specifications, and installation details to ensure accurate construction.\n\nIdentify technical issues and implement effective solutions in collaboration with design and project teams.\n\nMonitor progress against programme and report delays, risks, and mitigation measures.\n\nProduce and review RAMS, permits, inspection records, and quality documentation.\n\nEnsure all site records, daily diaries, progress reports, and photographic evidence are maintained accurately.\n\nCarry out quality inspections and ensure defects are identified and rectified promptly.\n\nCoordinate snagging activities through to practical completion.\n\nLiaise with clients, consultants, residents, and other stakeholders professionally.\n\nEnsure materials are delivered, stored, and installed in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.\n\nMonitor subcontractor performance and productivity.\n\nParticipate in weekly planning and coordination meetings.\n\nReport accidents, near misses, and HSE visits in accordance with company procedures.\n\nAnalytical Responsibilities\n\nThe successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities by:\n\nMonitoring programme performance and identifying potential delays before they impact delivery.\n\nReviewing installation methods and sequencing to improve productivity and efficiency.\n\nAnalysing quality trends and implementing corrective actions.\n\nIdentifying commercial and operational risks throughout the project lifecycle.\n\nInterpreting construction drawings, technical specifications, and façade details.\n\nSupporting project reporting through accurate data collection and progress analysis.\n\nUsing site performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.\n\nContinuous Improvement\n\nYou will contribute to the ongoing Specification\n\nQualifications\n\nEssential\n\nHNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Construction or a related discipline (or significant industry experience).\n\nSMSTS.\n\nCSCS Managers Card.\n\nFirst Aid at Work.\n\nFull UK Driving Licence.\n\nExperience & Skills\n\nEssential\n\nProven experience as a Site Manager on façade replacement, cladding remediation, or external envelope projects.\n\nStrong understanding of rainscreen cladding, external wall insulation (EWI), render systems, brick slip systems, curtain walling, windows, and fire remediation works.\n\nExcellent leadership and people management skills.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving ability.\n\nAbility to interpret technical drawings and specifications.\n\nExperience managing scaffolding, temporary works, and specialist subcontractors.\n\nStrong organisational and planning skills.\n\nHigh attention to detail and commitment to quality.\n\nGood commercial awareness.\n\nProficient in Microsoft Office and digital site reporting systems.\n\nDesirable\n\nExperience delivering occupied residential refurbishment projects.\n\nKnowledge of the Building Safety Act, PAS 9980, and fire remediation
