Skills and experience • Experience tutoring or teaching maths, English and science across relevant age groups., • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to explain ideas in accessible ways., • Excellent communication, patience and enthusiasm for helping students learn., • Experience working with children and adapting lessons for different abilities and learning needs., • Familiarity with curriculum requirements and strategies for supporting students with special educational needs.     Dyslexia Tutor & Dyslexia Assessor Location: QuestLearn, Wanstead Methodist Church, Hermon Hill, E11 QuestLearn is looking for experienced and enthusiastic professionals to join our team supporting children and young people with dyslexia. We are currently recruiting for two roles: a Dyslexia Tutor and a Dyslexia Assessor. Dyslexia Tutor Pay: £30 per 55-minute session We are looking for a Dyslexia Tutor to provide individual specialist sessions for children with dyslexia. Sessions will focus on supporting each child's individual needs, developing literacy skills, confidence and independence. QuestLearn will arrange the students for you, allowing you to focus on planning and delivering high-quality specialist teaching. We are looking for someone with: • A Level 5 or Level 7 Dyslexia qualification, or QTS, • Experience supporting children with dyslexia and literacy difficulties, • A patient, positive and child-centred approach, • The ability to adapt teaching to meet individual needs, • An Enhanced DBS check Dyslexia Assessor Pay: £400 per assessment We are also looking for a suitably qualified Dyslexia Assessor to carry out assessments for children and young people referred through QuestLearn. QuestLearn will arrange the children and families requiring assessments.     Pay: £14 per hour Location: QuestLearn, Wanstead Hours: Flexible opportunities across After School, Sundays and School Holidays QuestLearn is looking for enthusiastic, fun and hardworking SEN Support Workers to join our team supporting children with a wide range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We provide respite services for families, and many of the children who attend have complex and high levels of need. We are therefore looking for people who already have relevant experience supporting children with SEND and are confident working in a hands-on support role. Available Work After School: 3:00pm–6:00pm Sundays: 9:00am–12:00pm School Holidays: 9:00am–3:00pm Our next holiday scheme will run from 26th–30th October. You can work across different sessions depending on your availability. About the Role You will support children with a wide range of additional needs to take part in activities, play, socialise and have fun in a safe and supportive environment. The role can involve supporting children with complex and challenging needs. Some children require personal care, including support with toileting and changing nappies. Some of the children we support can also become very physical when dysregulated. You will need to be confident remaining calm, following agreed support plans and working closely with the rest of the QuestLearn team. Positive handling training would be very beneficial, although it is not essential. We Are Looking For Someone Who Is: • Enthusiastic, positive and fun, • Hardworking and reliable, • Proactive and able to use their initiative, • Patient, calm and flexible, • Comfortable providing personal care, • Confident supporting children with complex needs, • Experienced in working with children with SEND, • Able to work effectively as part of a team An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
