Estimator / Quantity Surveyor – Roofing & Cladding

Location: Epping, Essex and option for Homeworking Full-Time | Permanent Salary: Competitive, based on experience + Benefits Hours: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm About Us pmfROOFCRAFT is a specialist contractor delivering high-quality metal roofing, cladding, and façade solutions across London and the South East. We work with leading architects, developers, and main contractors on a wide range of commercial, residential, and bespoke architectural projects. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Estimator / Quantity Surveyor with a solid background in roofing and cladding to join our team and contribute to our continued success. The Role You will play a key role in preparing accurate estimates, pricing tenders, and managing costs across roofing and cladding packages. You will work closely with directors, project managers, suppliers, and clients to ensure profitability and successful project delivery from pre-construction through to final account. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed estimates for roofing, cladding, and façade packages Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documents Carry out material take-offs and create accurate BOQs Source and liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for competitive pricing Assess risk and provide value engineering suggestions Monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle, including variations and valuations Submit interim and final applications for payment Support contract negotiations and procurement activities Attend site visits and pre-start meetings when required What We are Looking For Minimum 3 years’ experience in estimating or quantity surveying within roofing and cladding Strong technical knowledge of roofing/cladding systems and materials (zinc, aluminium, rainscreen, standing seam, etc.) Confident with take-offs, pricing, and contract admin Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail Ability to read and understand architectural and structural drawings Proficient in Excel and estimating software Strong written and verbal communication skills Self-motivated, reliable, honest and well-organised Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or Construction (HNC, HND or degree) RICS/CIOB accreditation (desirable but not essential) Reliability Shows up on time, every day. We are looking for a Strength & Conditioning Coach to join our exciting team at Zone Six – Health & Performance, Loughton, Essex. We are an ambitious, experienced multi-disciplinary team of sports medicine and injuries specialists including physiotherapists, massage therapists and experienced performance coaches. Our teams experience includes 10 seasons in the Premier League, with boxing champions, Olympians across professional sports and around the world. Our experience in elite sport has inspired us to be able to provide a similar service to our clients, striving to bring the highest level of elite care, normally provided to athletes. We have a new facility in Loughton fully equipped with everything you’ll need including a gym, as well as an opportunity to work alongside and cross-refer with our physiotherapists. The candidate will work together with our highly experienced Lead Performance Coach and their primary responsibility will be contributing to, and delivering our semi-private personalised coaching programme, THE Z6 CLUB, in sessions of up to 6 clients. We expect the candidate to be able to drive with each client: progression, good form, encouragement and bringing an energetic can-do atmosphere to the gym. The position will be on a self-employed basis on set hours with the ability to pick up additional 1:1 and group coaching hours, with an income dependent upon experience. You will have use of the gym facilities. Hours and income will be discussed at interview.
