CNC Turner Programmer/Setter/Operator Company location: Bedfordshire Pays up to 56k p/annum Late Shift - Monday – Wednesday: 4:30pm – 3:30am • Thursday: 4:30pm – 1:30am Permanent | Precision Engineering | Competitive Earnings SourceCo Recruitment are currently hiring for an experienced CNC Turner on behalf of a well-established precision engineering manufacturer based in Bedfordshire. Due to continued growth and investment, our client is expanding their engineering team and is looking to add a skilled CNC professional to their resilient team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable manufacturing environment producing low volume, high precision components for demanding sectors such as Aerospace, Oil & Gas and Defence. The Role: • Programming, setting and operating 2 axis CNC turning machines, • Writing CNC programs longhand at the machine with minimal supervision, • Editing prewritten programs and carrying out full machine set ups, • Working with a range of hard and soft metals on one off to low/medium batch work, • Interpreting detailed engineering drawings and working to tight tolerances, • Carrying out in process inspection using precision measuring equipment, • Machining components up to 300mm diameter x 3m length (lifting equipment provided) Required experience: • Time served CNC Turner with strong hands-on experience in a machine shop environment, • Confident programming, setting and operating 2 axis CNC lathes, • Strong knowledge of cutting speeds, feeds and tolerancing, • Ability to work independently and maintain high quality standards, • Experience with Fanuc controls / Manual Guide i and G-code programming is advantageous, • Positive, self motivated, quality driven approach Hours & Shift Pattern: • Late shift, • Monday – Wednesday: 4:30pm – 3:30am, • Thursday: 4:30pm – 1:30am Salary & Package: • Pays a basic of £37,000 – £42,000 (depending on experience), • Late shift premium paid at time and a third taking earnings to approximately £49,000 – £56,000 per annum, • Full time, permanent position, • Immediate start available, • 28 days holiday including Bank Holidays, plus additional Christmas shutdown leave, • Pension scheme, • Healthcare scheme, • Excellent working conditions and long term job security Why Apply?
