We’re looking for an experienced and proactive individual to join our dynamic team, managing a portfolio of high-impact projects across the engineering and defence sectors. The Role: As Project Manager, you will act as the primary point of contact for customers, delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. You will play a pivotal role in driving performance across the full project lifecycle—from initial bid and new product development to production transition and in-service support. So, what will you be doing as a Project Manager? • Lead and manage a portfolio of engineering projects, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and business objectives., • Monitor and control project performance (cost, schedule, risk), conducting regular reviews and driving corrective action where needed., • Coordinate cross-functional teams, tools, and resources to meet critical milestones., • Provide clear leadership and communication across project teams, stakeholders, and senior management., • Prepare accurate bids, reports, and project updates, supporting business growth and customer satisfaction., • Inspire and motivate your team by setting direction, creating a shared vision, and fostering a collaborative working environment., • Support the Programmes Director/Manager in broader departmental initiatives as needed. What are we looking for in our next Project Manager? • Proven experience delivering full-lifecycle projects in an engineering, manufacturing, or systems integration environment., • Strong background in New Product Introduction (NPI) and New Product Development (NPD)., • Degree qualified in Engineering, Business, or a related field., • APM qualified (or equivalent project management certification)., • Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills., • Commercially astute with a customer-centric approach., • Familiarity with project management software and ERP systems (e.g., IFS)., • Experience in the Defence or Maritime sector is highly desirable., • Willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally overseas.
