\n A full time, permanent opportunity has arisen at our Barnsley site for an Automation Engineer to join the team. You will be a fully engaged team member and will assist the engineering team to maintain site electrical standards and ensure the site remains compliant with electrical regulations. \n \n The successful candidate will: \n\n • Drive CI initiatives with the electrical and automation agenda.\n, • Support and train engineering teams with maintenance and fault-finding activities.\n, • Be a custodian of electrical documentation, drawing and software backups to the agreed site standard.\n, • Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure site is always compliant against electrical standards.\n, • Work with the maintenance planner to schedule electrical projects.\n, • Ensure that we hold the correct electrical critical spare parts, and the consignment stock is maintained.\n, • Supervise engineers and outside contractors.\n\n \n What we need from you: \n\n • Recognised electrical/automation apprenticeship\n, • Qualified to a minimum HNC level (or equivalent) electrical/controls discipline.\n, • Advanced PLC Skills – Allen Bradley (Rockwell Logix)\n, • Experienced with Allen Bradley servo drives, Inverters and Network controls\n, • Understanding of control systems and the ability to optimize them\n, • Experience in food manufacturing is desireable \n\n \n What we offer in return: \n\n • Salary circa £60,000 per annum\n, • Up to 7.5% pension contribution\n, • Life assurance\n, • Staff discount shop on site\n, • Free on site parking\n, • Access to "The Hamper", with discounts at hundreds of nationwide retailers\n, • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays\n, • Employee Assistance Programme, Occupational Health and Other Health & Wellbeing Benefits\n, • Sharesave Scheme\n
