Job Title: Product Design Engineer Location: York Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 per annum We are seeking an experienced Product Design Engineer to join an established engineering and manufacturing company based in York. This role is well suited to someone with a strong automotive or consumer product background who can take ownership of a product from concept through to production, considering both how it operates and how it looks. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop products from initial concept through to manufacture using SolidWorks. Take a holistic approach to product design, considering functionality, usability, aesthetics, and performance. Produce detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings. Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective. Support prototyping, testing, validation, and design refinement.
