Area Sales Manager \n\n • Annual Salary: £50,000–£55,000\n, • Location: South East (Field-based with hybrid working)\n, • Job Type: Full-time\n\n Join a leading international organisation in the construction sector as an Area Sales Manager. With a focus on the South East corner, this role offers the chance to manage established accounts and develop new business opportunities in a dynamic, project-led sales environment. \n Day-to-day of the role: \n\n • Manage and develop a portfolio of existing accounts across the South East, primarily targeting scaffolding companies and construction firms.\n, • Actively identify and secure new business relationships within the scaffolding, construction, and temporary works sectors.\n, • Promote and sell hire solutions and products, capitalising on recent investments in additional equipment.\n, • Generate and manage project-based opportunities, including infrastructure projects, commercial builds, and refurbishments.\n, • Conduct site visits and client meetings to maintain and strengthen client relationships.\n, • Produce quotations and maintain accurate records using internal systems (AX).\n, • Plan and manage your own diary for effective prospecting and territory coverage.\n, • Represent the company as the "face of the business" within the region.\n\n Required Skills & Qualifications: \n\n • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and long-term relationships.\n, • Self-motivated and proactive, capable of working independently.\n, • Confident in face-to-face client interactions and cold calling when required.\n, • Full UK driving licence.\n, • Background in scaffolding, temporary works, or construction is desirable.\n, • Experience in field sales or account management is advantageous.\n, • Existing industry contacts are highly advantageous.\n\n Benefits: \n\n • Company car (or car allowance).\n, • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.\n, • Pension scheme.\n, • Laptop, phone, and full business expenses covered.\n, • Comprehensive onboarding and product training programme.\n, • Opportunity for career development and visits to the company’s Swedish head office.\n\n This Area Sales Manager role is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong understanding of the construction industry who thrive in relationship-led sales.
