Source and procure high-quality ingredients from local suppliers, ensuring freshness and authenticity in every dish. Collaborate with management to develop seasonal menus, daily specials, and promotional offerings to attract and retain customers. Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage food costs to optimize profitability while minimizing waste. Train and mentor kitchen staff on Caribbean and African cooking techniques, recipes, and cultural significance. Stay current with culinary trends, techniques, and ingredients, continually seeking ways to elevate the dining experience for our guests. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Chef specializing in Caribbean and African cuisine, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role. Culinary degree or diploma from an accredited institution preferred. Deep knowledge of Caribbean and African ingredients, spices, cooking techniques, and culinary traditions. Strong culinary skills with the ability to execute recipes with precision and consistency. Creative flair for menu development, recipe innovation, and presentation. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high food quality standards.
