Warehouse Operations Manager \n Hayes | Up to £55,000 + 10% Target Bonus \n \n Are you an experienced warehouse operations leader with a background in airfreight, freight forwarding or highly regulated logistics environments? \n \n An International Freight Forwarding is seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager to lead their primary UK airfreight gateway near Heathrow. This is a high-profile leadership role responsible for the safe, compliant and efficient handling of import and export airfreight operations, managing large teams within a complex, unionised environment. \n \n Your Package \n\n • Salary: up to £55,000 + 10% target bonus\n, • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays\n, • Predominantly office hours, although as this is a 24/7 operation there will be an occasional requirement to support the site outside standard hours.\n\n \n What you'll be doing: \n\n • Leading all warehouse and gateway cargo activities across their primary UK airfreight operation at the Heathrow Depot\n, • Ensuring compliance with Aviation Security, Dangerous Goods, GDP/MHRA and Health & Safety standards\n, • Managing operational performance, productivity and service delivery metrics\n, • Leading, coaching and developing large operational teams across multiple shifts\n, • Driving continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence programmes\n, • Working closely with customers, regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders\n, • Supporting site compliance, training and operational governance requirements\n\n \n What we're looking for \n\n • Proven experience managing large operational teams within a freight forwarding environment\n, • Strong knowledge of airfreight import/export operations and freight forwarding processes\n, • Experience working within regulated environments, including Aviation Security, Dangerous Goods and GDP/MHRA requirements\n, • Previous experience managing within a unionised workforce\n, • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills\n, • Commercial awareness, including budget management and understanding operational performance metrics\n, • Ability to analyse data, identify opportunities and drive operational improvements\n, • Good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office products\n, • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearances, including 5-year referencing, DBS and Counter Terrorism Check (CTC)\n\n \n If you're a strong people leader with airfreight or freight forwarding experience and a passion for operational excellence, we'd love to hear from you. \n
