Responsibilities
Supervise children during daily activities, playtime, meals, and rest periods to ensure their safety and engagement
Assist lead teachers with classroom management and instructional activities focused on child development and learning milestones
Support infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with age-appropriate care routines, including diapering, feeding, and hygiene practices
Implement classroom activities that promote social skills, creativity, and early learning concepts such as language development and motor skills
Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and needs to foster strong relationships
Follow all safety protocols including first aid procedures, pediatric first aid guidelines, and mandated reporting laws for child welfare concerns
Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration while adhering to health and safety standards
Skills
Experience working with children in daycare centers or preschool settings
Knowledge of child development instruction and early childhood education principles
Ability to manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies
Familiarity with first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid procedures, and emergency response protocols
Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
Classroom experience involving toddler care, infant care, or childcare supervision is highly valued
Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare
Skills in caregiving, babysitting, or teaching young children across diverse developmental stages
