Full job description About Us: Tokuyamatcha & Onigirazu Bar is a Japanese café located in the East Village in NYC. We are known for our Onigirazu, the rice ball sandwiches and exceptional Japanese matcha and coffee and warm, welcoming ambiance. We take pride in providing a delightful experience to our customers every day. Tokuyamatcha & Onigirazu Bar employees love working in a fast-paced environment, with a get-it-done mentality and always maintain a positive mindset when facing everyday challenges with excellent customer service . *Outstanding customer service with prompt service *Quality food and beverages *Maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment Job Responsibilities: - Prepare and serve rice ball sandwiches and hot or cold beverages and ensure food safety guidelines are followed. - Maintains, efficient, friendly service in a fast-paced environment. *Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register. *Maintain a clean and organized work area. *Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns. *Operate espresso machine and maintain cleanliness of the coffee station. *Works well as a team player in a cooperative, efficient manner. About Lavaux Wine & Fondue Bar Lavaux Wine & Fondue Bar is a West Village staple known for our imported Swiss wines and cheeses. The restaurant was created three years ago by the wine and cheese producers and is the only restaurant in the United States where you can try these wines. We are known for providing New York with traditional Swiss cuisine. Responsibilities: Prepare and cook a variety of Swiss Fondue and Charcuterie dishes Ensure consistent food quality by adhering to portion control, presentation, and taste specifications Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate and expedite orders during peak hours Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following food safety and hygiene guidelines Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure efficient food production Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, and rotate stock appropriately Work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple orders simultaneously Uphold kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards to meet health department regulations Skill Required: Experience as a line cook Knowledge of fondue and charcuterie preparation techniques/ Swiss cuisine (preferred) Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and dedication to food quality Eye for food presentation/ plating Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Please review our menu to gain knowledge of the type of food we offer.
