About Lavaux Wine & Fondue Bar
Lavaux Wine & Fondue Bar is a West Village staple known for our imported Swiss wines and cheeses. The restaurant was created three years ago by the wine and cheese producers and is the only restaurant in the United States where you can try these wines. We are known for providing New York with traditional Swiss cuisine.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of Swiss Fondue and Charcuterie dishes
Ensure consistent food quality by adhering to portion control, presentation, and taste specifications
Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate and expedite orders during peak hours
Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following food safety and hygiene guidelines
Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure efficient food production
Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, and rotate stock appropriately
Work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple orders simultaneously
Uphold kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards to meet health department regulations
Skill Required:

Experience as a line cook
Knowledge of fondue and charcuterie preparation techniques/ Swiss cuisine (preferred)
Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and dedication to food quality
Eye for food presentation/ plating
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
