Reporting to the Vice President of Claims, the Director of Special Investigative Unit (SIU) provides strategic leadership for Plymouth Rock's enterprise fraud program across the Personal Lines Property & Casualty Claims organization. This role is responsible for developing and executing fraud prevention, detection, investigation, and mitigation strategies across Auto, Homeowners, Casualty, Personal Injury Protection (PIP), Physical Damage, Appraisal, and Major Case initiatives. The Director partners with Claims Operations, Underwriting, Legal, Compliance, Analytics, and Executive Leadership to reduce fraud-related losses, improve claim outcomes, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and execute the enterprise fraud strategy across all Property & Casualty claim operations., • Lead the Special Investigative Unit and oversee fraud prevention, detection, investigation, and mitigation initiatives., • Provide oversight of fraud investigations involving Auto Physical Damage, Homeowners, Casualty, PIP, Appraisal, provider fraud, organized fraud rings, staged accidents, and Major Case initiatives., • Lead the optimization of the Shift Technology fraud platform and partner with Analytics to enhance fraud detection, predictive modeling, and referral quality., • Partner with Claims, Underwriting, Legal, Compliance, Internal Audit, and law enforcement to improve investigative outcomes and reduce fraud exposure., • Develop executive reporting, monitor fraud trends and savings, and present strategic recommendations to senior leadership., • Recruit, coach, and develop high-performing SIU leaders, investigators, and analysts while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree required., • 8-10+ years of progressive Property & Casualty Claims experience., • 5-7+ years of SIU leadership or enterprise fraud management experience., • Significant experience with Personal Injury Protection (PIP), Casualty Bodily Injury, Major Case investigations, and multi-line Property & Casualty fraud., • Experience with Shift Technology or comparable fraud detection platforms strongly preferred., • Knowledge of multi-state insurance regulations and fraud compliance requirements., • Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and presentation skills., • Professional designations such as CFE, CIFI, CPCU, or AIC are preferred. Actual compensation will vary based on multiple factors, including employee knowledge and experience, role scope, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
