Job DescriptionDescriptionCME Associates is seeking a highly motivated Water/Wastewater Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our team in East Brunswick, NJ. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the planning, design, and implementation of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Responsibilities • Project Design and Development: Prepare designs, technical specifications, and construction drawings for water distribution, wastewater collection systems, and treatment facilities., • Hydraulic Modeling and Analysis: Conduct hydraulic and hydrologic modeling to optimize system performance and capacity., • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure projects comply with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and permitting requirements., • Assist municipalities and utilities with meeting NJDEP compliance requirements related to drinking water and wastewater regulations, including permitting, reporting, and infrastructure planning., • Construction Support: Provide engineering support during construction, including reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and conducting site visits., • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including project managers, surveyors, and environmental scientists, to deliver high-quality solutions., • Maintain and develop strong client relationships by serving as a point of contact, understanding client goals and ensuring satisfaction throughout projects. Qualifications • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or a related Engineering discipline., • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering, including design and project management., • Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., EPANET, WaterCAD, SewerGEMS)., • Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license required., • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare technical reports and presentations.
