Responsibilities: • Conduct home visits, assess seniors needs and prepare care plans for them., • Refer clients to appropriate resources., • Assist clients with completing required paperwork for entitlement programs., • Interact with family and/or significant others regarding care., • Monitor appropriate client care through follow up with agencies, families and others., • Prepare accurate and timely progress notes., • Maintain contacts and respond to governmental agency reporting requirements and deadlines. Qualifications: • A Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Human Services or a related field., • A strong interest in working with Seniors., • Bilingual capability (Spanish/English) a plus., • At least 1 year experience working with Seniors preferred. However, candidates with no Senior experience will be considered if their degree/certification is in Human Services or Gerontology., • Ability to develop, maintain and protect confidentiality of required documentation., • Skill in establishing productive relationships with other agencies and community organizations., • Computer literacy including Microsoft Word and Outlook., • A valid NYS Drivers License., • Have Case Management Certificate OR complete Case Management Certification within 5 months of hire. Inspect vouchers for accuracy and include supportive documentation (bills, invoices, petty cash slips). Ensure invoices are signed., • Prepare payment package for vendor, attaching all correct information., • Process manual payments for vouchers that require it., • Prepare and complete bank deposits several times per week., • Prepare daily cash flow report showing changes in cash receipts, disbursements, and payroll accounts., • Compile New York State gas sales tax returns., • Compile Agency travel expense reimbursement sheets for payroll department to process., • Prepare monthly claims including compiling payroll, fringe and other data. Qualifications: • HS diploma/GED;, • 1-2 years of relevant work experience including understanding of debits and credits;, • Excel competency including working with basic formulas. Experience with accounting software, • Strong communication, time management and organizational skills, with follow-up and recordkeeping;, • Ability to perform effectively in a multi-priority, deadline environment., • Valid NYS Drivers license with ability to travel to/from bank 2-3 times per week. In this role, the OPWDD Facilities Maintenance Coordinatorwill develop, plan, and oversee the purchasing, maintenance, and construction project requirements of OPWDD (Office of Persons With Developmental Disabilities) leased and owned facilities through to completion. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that OPWDD planned and emergency maintenance requests are completed in a timely manner, including, but not limited to, purchasing necessary supplies, completing the work, seeking external assistance if needed, and entering said work into the Agency work order system. Responsibilities: • Ensure, from planning to completion, the effective and efficient operations of facility maintenance and purchasing for the OPWDD program., • Perform maintenance and repair work that includes plumbing, carpentry, light electrical, painting, HVAC, masonry and related crafts., • Respond to emergency needs of the residences during assigned and after hours, on a timely basis., • Liaise with Agency Purchasing and Facilities Administrators when working with Building Crafts Mechanics on multiple OPWDD projects and initiating capital expense work projects and bid process., • Participate in OFPC Fire Safety and State Audits. Ensure timely completion of noted deficiencies relating to the physical structure., • Adhere to program budget for all purchasing and maintenance projects., • Recommend the hiring of contractors from approved vendors and research new vendors., • Coordinates and oversees completion of multiple contracted projects to ensure compliance within specifications and quality of workmanship., • Initiate preventative maintenance programs., • Collaborate with Clinical Staff and Residential Management in ascertaining and accommodating residents' current and long-term needs as relates to maintenance, repair work and renovations. Qualifications: • HS Diploma/GED required; some college preferred, • 3-5 yrs. related facilities maintenance, purchasing, and construction project management experience., • Demonstrated proficiency at the "advanced handyman" level with building crafts including carpentry, plumbing, light electrical, painting, masonry, structural household repairs., • Negotiating skills; cost estimating experience helpful., • Good interpersonal communication and collaborative team skills, • Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail, time management and follow-up ability in a multi-priority work environment., • Ability to be available On Call 24/7 in emergencies, and to work flexible hours when necessary is required., • Ability to travel island-wide in all types of weather, • Valid NYS Driver's License Salary: $66,500 - 67,568/yr.
