Redefine Healthcare is looking for a dedicated, full-time Surgical Coordinator to join our expanding team of healthcare professionals in our Edison Office. The Surgical Coordinator will be responsible for managing all aspects of surgical scheduling, ensuring seamless communication between patients, physicians, and surgical facilities while maintaining compliance with insurance and healthcare regulations. Job Title: Surgical Coordinator Pay Rate: $20-22/ hour depending on specialty and experience Hours: 40 hours per week Job Type: Full-time Benefits: Paid time off, sick time, health insurance (medical, dental, vision, accident, and critical illness), life insurance, 401(k) with Company match, yearly bonus Job Title Duties (not limited to): • Coordinate surgical procedures with physicians, patients, and surgical facilities., • Maintain and manage surgical schedules, ensuring accuracy and timeliness., • Communicate surgical instructions, preparation details, and post-op requirements to patients., • Verify insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits for surgical services., • Serve as the primary point of contact between patients, surgeons, and operating facilities., • Track surgical authorizations and collaborate with the authorization team to ensure compliance., • Maintain accurate patient and surgical documentation within the electronic health record (EHR)., • Resolve scheduling conflicts or delays and escalate issues as needed., • HIPAA compliance training required., • High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred., • 2+ years of experience in surgical scheduling, medical coordination, or administrative healthcare role., • Knowledge of medical terminology and surgical procedures preferred., • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to multitask., • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and scheduling systems.
