Job DescriptionDescription: PAX Health is a leading mental and behavioral health organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to individuals facing mental health challenges. The Psychologist will have experience providing psychological services to individuals with a range of mental health, cognitive, or emotional challenges, including, but not limited to, those involved in workers’ compensation or no-fault cases. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to assess mental health, cognitive functioning, and overall well-being., • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address psychological concerns, support recovery, and promote rehabilitation., • Provide evidence-based psychotherapy interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based strategies, and trauma-focused approaches, to manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, PTSD, and related conditions., • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, case managers, and vocational counselors, to coordinate care and support return-to-function or return-to-work processes., • Advocate for clients to ensure access to appropriate mental health and rehabilitative services, including WC or no-fault cases when applicable., • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and assessment reports, in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.Requirements:, • Doctorate (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution., • Valid New York license to practice psychology; PsyPact license or eligibility is a plus., • Must be able to work in a hybrid model, as we have offices in Long Island, Manhattan, The Bronx, and Brooklyn., • Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm., • Client sessions are 30 minutes., • Ability to start part-time with the option to transition to full-time., • Experience providing psychological services to individuals with workers’ compensation or no-fault cases preferred., • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills, with proficiency in administering and interpreting psychological tests and measures., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic alliances., • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment., • Commitment to ethical standards and confidentiality in accordance with professional guidelines and regulations.
