Position Overview We're seeking an experienced Tax Manager with a strong background in public accounting and tax compliance. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a small firm setting, enjoys working directly with clients, and is looking to take ownership of complex tax engagements. The ideal candidate will be a licensed CPA or EA and have a proven track record managing tax workflows and mentoring junior staff. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns (1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065)., • Oversee tax compliance and planning for a broad range of clients, including individuals and businesses across multiple industries., • Supervise and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing technical guidance and review support., • Conduct tax research and stay current on federal and state tax law changes., • Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize client outcomes., • Collaborate directly with clients to address tax-related questions and provide proactive advisory services., • Active CPA or EA license required., • Minimum 5 years of recent public accounting experience with a focus on tax compliance., • Strong technical knowledge of individual, corporate, and partnership taxation., • Experience working with diverse client portfolios and industries., • Proficiency in tax software (e.g., ProSystem fx, Lacerte, or similar) and QuickBooks., • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills., • Work closely with partners and clients in a high-impact role., • Enjoy a collegial, team-oriented culture with room for growth., • Competitive compensation and benefits tailored to experience. - For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
