Position Summary The Contracts Manager is responsible for overseeing contract administration, risk assessment, and lifecycle management for a wide range of commercial agreements. This role requires deep expertise in contract formation, negotiation, and risk mitigation, as well as the ability to partner effectively with internal stakeholders and legal teams. The ideal candidate brings 8–10 years of progressive contract management experience, strong business judgment, and a proven ability to identify and manage material contractual risks across complex commercial environments. Key Responsibilities • Draft, review, and support negotiation of commercial contracts, including:, • Vendor and supplier agreements, • Sales and service agreements, • Technology and software contracts, • Licensing agreements, • Nondisclosure agreements (NDAs), • Identify contractual risks and develop mitigation strategies related to:, • Indemnification, • Liability limitations, • Intellectual property rights, • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, procurement, finance, operations, and legal teams to ensure contracts align with business objectives., • Manage the full contract lifecycle, including drafting, execution, renewals, amendments, and terminations., • Maintain and update contract templates, clause libraries, and negotiation playbooks to promote consistency and compliance., • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal governance standards., • Track contract obligations, milestones, deadlines, and renewals using contract management systems., • Coordinate closely with internal legal staff on escalations, disputes, and complex contractual issues. Qualifications & Experience Education • Bachelor’s degree required, • Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved program preferred, • Minimum of 8 years of contract management experience, • Strong understanding of contract law and legal principles, • Familiarity with the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), • Experience in manufacturing and supply chain environments, • Knowledge of:, • Sales agreements, • Material purchase agreements, • Service and construction contracts, • Contracts for the sale of manufactured goods, • Familiarity with IT contracting, including:, • Software licensing, • Cloud services, • Professional services agreements, • Strong negotiation and risk assessment skills, • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, • Ability to translate legal and business risks for non-legal stakeholders, • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills, • Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously and prioritize effectively, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software, • Familiarity with Salesforce preferred, • Minimal travel required as needed to company sitesCompany DescriptionThe Bachrach Group (TBG) is a New York-based staffing and recruiting agency founded in 1974 by Richard Bachrach.
