About You The Packaging Coordinator is a key member of the Own Brands team responsible for executing and enhancing Own Brands packaging. This position has ownership of key packaging projects, focusing on data accuracy, collaboration with suppliers and packaging innovation, all while supporting Wakefern's sustainability goals. The role requires cross-functional teamwork with Quality Assurance, Procurement teams and Own Brands team members to ensure all packaging solutions are precise, compliant, innovative and in line with brand and business strategies. Core Functions The core functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: • Exercise oversight and independent judgment in the collection and validation of supplier‑provided data to ensure the timely initiation of packaging artwork projects, • Uses independent judgement to review and ensure the accuracy of product specifications, print specifications, nutritional information and regulatory data based on category and product requirements, • Serve as the primary packaging subject matter expert for Own Brands, resolving packaging issues and recommending solutions that align with business and brand strategy and promote efficiency, • Manage and maintain the artwork and specification repository, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting of packaging projects, • Lead coordination of the Own Brands packaging process in alignment with the implementation and ongoing use of several internal and external project management systems, • Serve as a primary point of contact to resolve supplier packaging challenges, providing solutions and facilitating issue resolution, • Develop and execute Wakefern’s sustainable packaging guidelines for Own Brands products through partnership with suppliers, the Sustainability team, and How2Recycle, • Lead special projects and perform other packaging-related duties as assigned, • Embrace AI to identify product trends relevant to the business both domestically and internationally, • Prepare and present packaging related analyses, summaries, and recommendations to leadership Knowledge and Skill Requirements: • 1-3 years’ of relevant industry experience preferred, • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field required, • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing presentations and summaries, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, Power Point, • Experience with using artwork project management and online proofing and annotation tools preferred, • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into recommendations, • Experience working cross‑functionally with key stakeholders, • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment Physical Demands and Work Environment • Ability to sit in front of a computer for long periods of time, • Ability to work in varied temperatures, • Ability to adhere to the company’s four day a week in office work requirement, • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time Compensation and Benefits The salary for this position is $65,000-$85,000. Placement in the salary depends on several factors, including experience, skills, education, geography, and budget considerations.
