Our Bus Driver / Handyman plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and smooth daily operations of our school by maintaining our facility and transporting our children safely to and from school. RESPONSIBILITIES Bus Driver Duties: Safely transport children to and from their designated public/private schools and The Goddard School. Ensure all children are properly secured and accounted for during transportation. Maintain cleanliness, safety, and readiness of school buses (fueling, cleaning, basic maintenance). Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly. Handyman Duties: Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs throughout the facility (painting, plumbing, lighting, minor carpentry, etc.). Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment inside and outside the school building. Assist with general upkeep, including playground maintenance and equipment inspections. Respond promptly to maintenance requests to ensure the facility remains in top condition. Coordinate with management for larger repairs and vendor services when needed. Position Summary: The Roll Off Driver is responsible for safely operating roll off trucks to pick up and deliver waste containers for disposal or recycling. This role is vital to ensuring customer satisfaction, efficiency, and compliance with environmental and safety regulations within the Waste Masters division. Key Responsibilities: * Operate roll off trucks in a safe and professional manner in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies. * Complete scheduled pickups and deliveries of roll off containers at customer locations. * Perform pre- and post-trip inspections using company-issued electronic devices. * Accurately complete and submit electronic logs, truck inspections, and order documentation. * Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure timely and efficient service. * Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of assigned vehicle. * Adhere to all safety protocols including wearing required PPE and reporting safety concerns. * Work independently while managing time and routes effectively. * Work Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays and required overtime. * All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
