Job Description Primary Focus: As Chief/Senior Estimator you are a Leader who will lead our estimating function reporting directly to the MES executive leadership. You’ll be responsible for overseeing complex, high-value bids across multiple projects concurrently while managing a small team of Estimators. You are responsible for driving cost efficiencies, committing to only submitting proposals that reflect our commitment to technical excellence, quality, profitability and mentoring your direct reports. This is a critical role that will have significant influence over project success, client satisfaction and bottom-line performance. You’ll be joining a well-established leadership team and be accountable for current and future team and company growth. It’s vital that the Chief/Senior Estimator is forward-thinking, decisive and readily able to communicate clearly to internal and external clients. What You’ll Be Responsible For: • Responsible for overseeing the estimating process and the estimating team ensuring the department is consistently meeting and exceeding their goals by performing regular reviews of their team., • Prepare, review and sign off on estimates and bids for the construction and service business units as required prior to submitting to customer. All estimates over $300,000 or below budgeted gross profit targets require ownership signoff prior to submission., • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate preparation and final evaluation of bids to increase bidding efficiency in both percentage of profitability and percentage of jobs won., • Lead frequent (at least weekly) estimating meetings internally to review status of open bids and other department related items to ensure the appropriate estimating methods and resources are being utilized for the estimates needed., • Review and approve preliminary schedules, indirect costs, staff and execution plans with deep understanding of company policy on project cash flow and ensure that billing schedules and cash flow diagrams meet the requirements., • Manage CRM software and ensure new customers are added, the bid log is updated accurately and bid results/feedback are properly maintained while serving as the sales contact for select customers and clients served by MES., • Coordinate estimating transfer meetings for all awarded projects with the construction/service team and assigned estimator to ensure seamless project continuation., • Confidently following up with telephone calls to customers and clients to inquire about estimates that were previously sent., • Obtains prices from vendors and subcontractors for materials, equipment and services., • Provide guidance on how to overcome project document deficiencies, including scope clarifications, and identifying project risk and pricing., • Assist with the development of new processes and procedures to improve our estimating and proposal efforts. Essential Job Summary:: The Assistant Manager of Site Operations supports the Site Manager by directing the day-to-day operations of a single depot. They are responsible for establishing and maintaining performance and productivity metrics, as well as implementing cost management process. Acting as a key point of contact on the site for various operational aspects, will step in to lead the depot when the site manager is unavailable. Essential Job Functions: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.: • Manages the day-to-day operations of the depot and provides daily support to Operations Managers in ensuring quality and budget performance., • Leads continuous improvement projects to increase efficiency and productivity., • Manages all Operations Manager and Route Supervisor scheduling to ensure management coverage during all operating hours., • Monitors and improves all on-site processes during the launch, on route, and check-in procedures., • Monitors budget and operating metrics while diagnosing and improving processes, procedures and performance., • Executes necessary precautions to ensure safety and compliance with Company OSHA, and other standards and regulations., • Oversees personnel needs of the depot including selecting, coaching, disciplining, and training employees and evaluating employee performance. Provides input into termination, compensation and promotion decisions., • Formulates both short-term and long-term goals and action plans in conjunction with the Site Manager and/or Director of Operations., • Participates in regular P&L reviews to ensure that budgets are met; develops and implements programs for optimal equipment utilization, equipment maintenance and labor and material costs., • Works with functional groups to resolve employee relations and labor relations issues., • Works a changing shift schedule to oversee all facets of the operations when they are occurring. Episodic overnight and weekend shifts are necessary. Requirements and Qualifications::, • Minimum of 5 years of work experience (in addition to education requirement) in transportation, logistics, or solid waste operations in which coaching, routing assessments and leading employees is required., • Associate’s degree (accredited) or in lieu of degree, high school diploma or GED (accredited) and 2 years of relevant work experience., • Experience handling employee grievances and conducting investigations., • Prior experience in environmental services a plus., • Experience overseeing business plans, developing and tracking budgets., • Demonstrated ability to use a data-driven approach to decision making., • Leadership capabilities working across a matrix organization., • Experience implementing safety (OSHA) programs and equipment specifications., • Proven ability to work efficiently with minimal direct supervision., • Demonstrated ability to motivate others to achieve results., • Proven experience meeting business commitments, driving change and implementing process improvements., • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills., • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail., • Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines., • Analytical and critical thinking skills., • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite or related software., • Must be able to work outdoors in all kinds of weather., • Proven experience in managing labor relations in a unionized environment., • Excellent computer skills with the ability to handle multiple programs and systems., • Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally via e-mail, telephone and 2-way devices. Job Description: • Responsible for daily occupied and discharge/transfer cleaning and disinfection of patient care areas, equipment as assigned and other common areas of assignment., • Performs duties while demonstrating working knowledge of the health care cleaning and disinfecting principles and requirements, proper and safe chemical use, equipment handling, and labor saving products for all items within the healthcare environment for which tasked with servicing., • Adheres to all organization safety, risk management and infection control guidelines and standards while promoting a culture of safety., • Actively participates in departmental performance improvement initiatives, including but not limited to initiatives to improve patient experience and cleanliness metrics., • Maintains cleaning cart(s), supplies and equipment evidence by properly stocking and restocking environmental services cart in a neat and orderly fashion., • Removes waste and transports to the appropriate disposal area while identifying proper waste streams handling (i.e. regulated medical, recycle, solid, and hazardous)., • Follows all infection prevention practices (i.e. proper cleaning and disinfection protocols and process, hand hygiene, standard & isolation precautions, as well as proper donning and doffing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), • Practices critical thinking skills, • Demonstrates personal accountability, • Identify and utilize appropriate resources to ensure identified problems or concerns are followed through and resolved, • Demonstrates knowledge of facility safety requirements., • Demonstrates the ability to operate and properly maintain all tools and equipment needed to clean and disinfect the environment.
