Job Description Retail Styling Assistant (Part Time) - Garden City, Long Island Our Retail Styling Assistants provide an exceptional experience for every Brilliant Earth customer. These team members assist our customers in finding their best jewelry match from our luxury product line. This role combines the community-rooted presence of outreach specialists with the wraparound support of care guides. Responsibilities • Engage Family Members where they live, worship, and gather (homes, porches, churches, senior centers, neighborhood stores)., • Conduct in-person and phone outreach with high-risk, rising-risk, or newly discharged Family Members., • Build trust through consistent presence and culturally aligned, empathetic communication., • Surface and help address barriers to care such as food insecurity, transportation, housing, directly or through referral., • Assist Family Members with paperwork for social services and basic support needs., • Support in-home technology setup (e.g., blood pressure cuff, stethoscope) to enable virtual visits and connect Family Members with the broader care team., • Provide warm handoffs and referrals to care team members and trusted partners and follow up to ensure needs are met., • Serve as a consistent point of contact, adjusting outreach frequency (including in-home visits) based on Family Member needs., • Collaborate with nurses, social workers, and other team members during case huddles and planning sessions., • Refer Family Members to the interdisciplinary care team for additional support with medical and behavioral support services and attend visits where appropriate to support building trust., • Document interactions, insights, and emerging needs in CINQIQ and track trust/engagement levels., • Represent the company at community events and maintain a local map of trusted people and places. Qualifications • Associate degree or a combination of education and experience required; B.S. or B.A. preferred., • 1–3 years of experience in community-based outreach, health education, or related work., • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred (varies by region)., • Background check and training required prior to field deployment. Position Summary: The Surgical Coordinator plays a critical role in managing the scheduling, coordination, and communication of all surgical procedures. This position involves working closely with surgeons, patients, insurance companies, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and efficient surgical operations, while maintaining optimal patient care. The Surgical Coordinator must possess strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure timely and effective surgical procedures. Job Duties & Essential Functions: • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, answering questions about surgical preparation., • Act as a liaison between surgeons, anesthesiologists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure all surgical requirements are met., • Communicate with insurance providers to verify coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for surgeries., • Schedule patient surgeries and pre/post-operative appointments, including those with ASC, and surgeons., • Confirm surgery dates and provide pre-operative and post-operative instructions to patients., • Ensure all necessary pre-operative information (e.g., consent forms, medical history, lab results) is collected, reviewed, and documented., • Arrange transportation for patients, if necessary, for procedures or related appointments., • Prepare surgical folders and collect required paperwork after procedures, ensuring completeness and accuracy., • Handle pre-operative testing and review patient medication lists to align with surgery requirements., • Confirm all pertinent details for the procedure, including bookings, insurance, medical clearance, authorizations, and signed consent forms., • Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations., • Regularly update the surgical schedule to reflect changes or adjustments., • Ensure the availability and proper functioning of all required surgical equipment and supplies., • Collaborate with the billing department to ensure accurate charge recording and processing., • Address patient concerns or questions after and after surgery., • Perform any additional tasks assigned or directed by the supervisor. Required Qualifications: • High School diploma or equivalent, • One (1) year of experience as a medical receptionist with knowledge of insurance verification and authorizations., • Strong understanding of medical terminology and surgical procedures., • Proficiency with office software and electronic health record (EHR) systems., • Associate’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field., • Two years relevant surgical coordinator, ophthalmic/optometric, sales experience., • Previous experience in a healthcare or surgical setting.
