Quality Assurance Manager – Precision Gear & Machine Shop \n We are a highly regarded, AS9100-certified precision gear and machine shop specializing in the production of high-tolerance gears, components, and assemblies for aerospace\nand commercial applications. With a strong reputation for quality, precision, and on-time delivery, we serve top-tier customers in demanding industries where zero defects is the standard. \n We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead our quality function and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment. \n Key Responsibilities: \n\n • Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of our AS9100-certified Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring full compliance with aerospace standards, customer requirements, and regulatory mandates.\n, • Lead internal audits, manage external certification audits, and drive corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) to maintain and improve certification status.\n, • Supervise and mentor a team of quality inspectors, and technicians; provide training and performance management to foster a culture of quality excellence.\n, • Develop and implement quality control processes, inspection plans, and testing protocols for precision gears and machined components.\n, • Manage supplier quality assurance, including approval, monitoring, and performance evaluation.\n, • Analyze quality data, identify trends, and lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, PDCA).\n, • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality issues, audits, and concerns; ensure timely resolution and strong customer relationships.\n, • Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and leadership to integrate quality into every stage of the manufacturing process.\n, • Ensure accurate documentation, traceability, and reporting in line with aerospace requirements.\n, • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).\n, • Minimum 8-10 years of progressive quality experience in aerospace manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.\n, • Proven expertise in AS9100 (Rev D preferred) implementation, maintenance, and auditing; experience with NADCAP\n processes a strong plus.\n, • Strong knowledge of precision machining, gear manufacturing, GD&T, metrology, and inspection methods (CMM, optical comparators, etc.).\n, • Demonstrated success leading teams in a high-precision, low-volume production environment.\n, • Excellent problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis tools (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone).\n, • Proficient in quality software/tools (e.g., ERP, SPC, document control systems).\n, • Strong communication and leadership abilities; ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented culture.\n, • Competitive salary commensurate with experience\n, • Comprehensive benefits package (health, 401(k) with match, paid time off)\n, • Opportunities for professional growth in a stable, growing company\n, • State-of-the-art facility with cutting-edge equipment\n
