You thrive in ambiguity and love the challenge of building something from scratch. WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR As Head of Reconstruction, you will own the entire commercial reconstruction department. This means managing project managers, overseeing complex commercial projects, building training programs, establishing quality standards, and driving the department's aggressive growth plans. Your Day-to-Day: • Lead, develop, and hold accountable a team of project managers and construction professionals, • Oversee large, complex commercial reconstruction projects from start to finish, • Build and implement training programs for project managers and team members, • Establish quality assurance processes and ensure consistent execution across all projects, • Manage departmental P&L and drive profitability metrics, • Develop relationships with commercial clients and partners, • Work closely with sales teams to support business development efforts, • Minimum 5-7 years in construction or restoration industry, • Previous experience as a Project Manager (required), • Experience managing and developing project managers and construction teams, • Previous role as Head of Reconstruction or similar leadership position (preferred), • Strong command of construction techniques, building codes, and project management, • Experience with construction estimating software, • Exceptional communication and people management skills, • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites throughout NYC/NJ territory Base salary of $75,000-$85,000 with commissions tied to every job performed in the branch. Total expected compensation range of $120,000-$180,000+ with uncapped potential.
