Job Description The Building People, LLC, has a position open for a full-time HVAC/R Technician for the facilities engineering program to support a federal Agency. The HVAC Technician will have a strong focus on operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing facility equipment on all systems. Individuals are expected to demonstrate technical expertise in HVAC trade and be multi-skilled in others (Electrical, Piping/Plumbing, Central Utility Plant Operations) in order to successfully complete daily/weekly work assignments. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: • Perform maintenance, monitoring repairs to the Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems for the facility to keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards as assigned, • Maintains responsibility for facility services, corrective maintenance, inventory control, general maintenance and technical proficiency., • Maintenance of the equipment will include cleaning, inspecting, calibrating and changing parts to maintain the HVAC systems and associated equipment at optimum performance levels, • Maintain heating equipment, chillers (air and/ or water cooled), DX units, pumps, cooling towers, fan coil units, VAV, and air distribution systems, etc., • Knowledge of the tools, materials, and test equipment used in the installation,, • Maintenance and repair of air conditioning/refrigeration HVAC control systems., • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC controls, including DDC, pneumatic, electric, and electronic controls., • Troubleshoots and repairs HVAC/BAS control problems, including dampers, coils, HVAC steam related controls, air handling equipment, and all types of valves., • Adjusts and calibrates pneumatic/electronic devices to balance all HVAC systems., • Inspects and services controls on a scheduled basis., • Responds to service calls and troubleshoots problems., • Prepares estimates for the repair and/or installation of new Mechanical, Electrical and Plumping systems and makes recommendations for such repairs and services., • Troubleshoots and tests controls using test gauges, amp meters, hydro thermographs, and computers., • Repair equipment and perform corrective maintenance in assigned programmatic area(s)., • Inspect and test equipment / systems to ensure that technical integrity is maintained and if necessary, proposes appropriate corrective action., • Review pertinent technical manuals to remain current with technology and electrical safety codes., • Work indoors & outdoors in the installation and maintenance of a wide - array of technical equipment; use of ladders, safety equipment and ability to navigate rooftops and tight spaces may be required, • Applies technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions., • Receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician., • Five (5) years of commercial HVAC/R journeyman level experience., • Communication skills required to interface and coordinate with other technicians., • Must hold EPA Universal level certification per Section 608 of the Clean Air Act., • Must hold NATE, HVAC Excellence Professional/Industry, or UA Star Mastery certification., • Experience setting up and managing BAS schedules, set points, and alarms., • Experience with general RCM practices and procedures., • Capable of performing physical labor including, walking, standing, lift up to 40lbs, pulling, climbing up and down ladders and agility/dexterity to perform duties assigned., • Must be able to successfully pass a government background investigation Preferred Experience & Skills • Familiarity with Niagara, • Skills in Maximo or CMMS Required Education • High School Diploma of GED Equivalent

Press Set Up Operators prepare machine tools and production tools for press operators. They set up jigs, fixtures, cutting tools, and stamping tools on machines that are used for the shaping of metal. Responsible for setting up plastic injection and/or metal stamping presses. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Includes, but not be limited to the following • Die Setter sets up dies, fixtures or assemblies in accordance with safety standards and company procedures., • Die Setter troubleshoots equipment failures and problems with appropriate personnel., • Die Setter selects and sets speed and feed of machine according to type of operation and specified material and finish., • Die Setter will start the machine to obtain first run work piece and verifies dimensional tolerances., • Die Setter recommends adjustments to processes and equipment to produce a product that meets company standards and customer requirements., • Die Setter reports equipment failures and unusual sounds or actions while operating equipment., • Die Setter instructs operators or other workers in machine setup and operation., • Die Setter coordinates and pre-stages all necessary items for die change., • Die Setter manually loads parts or blanks into machine and place parts into inventory baskets., • Die Setter will load coils and feeds material into die where applicable., • Die Setter inspects components and assemblies visually for quality defects including scrap marks, rust, burrs, lamination, etc., • Die Setter inspects parts for quality defects. Measure part to ensure they meet specifications., • Die Setter performs first piece inspection of set-up parts as required by Quality Inspection Instructions and/or as directed by supervisor., • Die Setter records and reports production, quality and inventory information accurately., • Die Setter performs destruct in accordance with Quality Inspection Instructions., • Die Setter notifies Supervisor when specifications are not being met., • Die Setter monitors press for proper operation and reports any malfunctions or problems to supervisor and maintenance., • Die Setter sets the PLC’s (Pneumatic Logic Controllers) inside the presses., • Die Setter pays attention to detail, troubleshoots die set up and the way the press runs to achieve optimal results., • Die Setter repairs broken punches, buttons, shims, if possible.
