Job Description Job description: Staff Pharmacist Community Care Rx (CCRx) is looking for a high energy, results-oriented pharmacist committed to fulfilling the health care needs of our patients. Candidate will work side by side with other pharmacists and pharmacy support staff. In addition, pharmacist will regularly communicate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in sophisticated, highly specialized long term care facilities. The candidate will primarily be responsible for safely and accurately distributing and verifying medication product to patients. Responsibilities: · Keep in proper records required by state, federal and other agencies available always · Inspect the pharmacy area regularly to ensure compliance with State, Federal, and other agencies · Performs the duties of a dispensing pharmacist working in a long-term care pharmacy · Builds a high quality, service-oriented pharmacy team · Assures staff training and competency · Works in cooperation with all other pharmacy departments · Supervises pharmacy support personnel, which includes activities performed, work allocation between staff as applicable · Delegates aspects of the practice of pharmacy-to-pharmacy technicians & interns within the parameters of their job description · Working on PV1 & PV2 verifying prescriptions for accuracy and compliance with pharmacy regulations Additional roles: . Reporting to Pharmacy Management of any discrepancies that may occur requiring attention · Make sure that delivery routes leave on time · Make sure that the pharmacy is ready for onsite inspection at any given time · Manage inventory and ordering with the inventory department and ensure all orders are completed Qualifications: · Proven ability to evaluate workflow to ensure optimal efficiency · Proven experience in a fast-paced environment, work well under pressure · Proven ability to effectively manage people and provide team leadership · Act as an integral member of the workflow process, pre-verify and verify prescription information to · Ensure the correct medication is being dispensed and given to the customer · Work Ethic/ Integrity - Must possess an intrinsic drive to excel coupled with values in line with company philosophy · Leadership - Ability to lead project teams to deadlines while maintaining strong team orientation · Strategy and Planning - Ability to think ahead, plan, and manage time efficiently · Problem Solving - Ability to analyze causes and solve problems at both strategic and functional level · Team Oriented - Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with all team members · Maintains a positive attitude and demonstrates a commitment to the organization's mission, vision and values always · Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Windows-based software · Long term care consulting services and dispensing experience is a plus Requirements: · Must be a licensed pharmacist - Minimum of 2 year · Current License or evidence of application for licensure as a registered pharmacist in the State of NY · Participate in process improvement · Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Windows-based software · Ability to assist in organizing, directing and technician’s workflow, verifying preparation, labeling and packaging of medications · Ability to set strong rules in place, follow up and monitor and evaluate staff performance · Ability to separate and combine tasks into the effective workflow by maximizing resources and assistance when needed and supervise output ensuring standards are adhered to as per pharmacy manual. .
