EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in advanced practice nursing from an accredited program, with a New York State license and registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Psychiatry, and current DEA registration. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Substantial clinical experience with the diagnosis and treatment of the entire spectrum of mental disorders, in outpatient and/or inpatient settings. Experience will include management of seriously and persistently ill clients as well as those with psychiatric and co-occurring substance abuse disorders. Familiarity with current DSM criteria. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provides psychiatric and substance abuse care and medication to appropriate clients applying standards of care consistent with good medical judgment and current practice in the psychiatric community.
