Northwell Health and the Department of Medicine at Staten Island University Hospital are seeking a Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physician to join our team as a Program Director. Among other responsibilities, the Program Director will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at the Hospital and will direct the educational curriculum, both inpatient and outpatient. The Program Director is responsible for ensuring the program is in compliance with all regulations of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). Other key responsibilities of the Program Director will include supervising residents, students, and other trainees caring for patients under the auspices of the Department. They will also oversee the coordination and scheduling of clinical assignments and faculty participation, conference development and implementation, and serve as a preceptor in the inpatient and/or outpatient setting. The Program Director will serve on Hospital committees and perform other medical staff and administrative functions as required.
