Job Description IVI RMA North America has a need for a Registered Nurse (RN) for our clinic located in Springfield, NJ. This is a full-time position with hours Monday-Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm. Salary will be based on level of experience. Job Purpose: The Nurse will function as a dynamic member of the patient care team, providing education and guidance to fertility patients throughout their journey. The Registered Nurse will serve as treatment coordinator and strive to provide every individual an optimal patient experience. Essential Functions and Accountabilities: • Assists with coordination of care, management, and treatment of fertility patients., • Implements Provider directives through management of diagnostic and clinical treatment plans., • Provides care for assigned patients by applying appropriate RMA workflows, policies and clinical practice guidelines:, • Reviews medical records and lab results. Ensures accurate data is entered into the EMR., • Communicates test results and patient instructions, • Provide patient education throughout all aspects of the treatment journey. Sets appropriate expectations, educates patient/couple on testing, treatment options and RMA processes., • Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient care services in the EMR, • Demonstrates skills and judgment necessary to implement the plan of care. Performs nursing interventions and procedures as necessary to promote the care and safety of the patient., • Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients; comforts patients by anticipating their anxieties, answering questions and addressing concerns., • Participates in the education and training of nurses. Mentors peers. As we continue to grow, we currently have a tremendous opportunity for a Registered Nurse who is up for the challenge. Summary/Objective: The Registered Nurse will oversee the practical aspects of the pharmacologic stress test while assisting the Nuclear Medicine Technologist. The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing an overview and instructions to each patient, including the effects of the stress agent, adverse effects that they might experience, and how any adverse effects will be managed. Essential Functions: • Prepares patient for stress testing procedure; including patient interviews, obtaining medical history, obtaining patient consent and required signatures, and conducting patient teaching related to nuclear imaging procedure, including risks and complications., • Assesses patients’ blood pressure, pulse, obtains oxygen % saturation levels and establishes Peripheral Intravenous (IV) access., • Sets up and monitors patient through 12 lead EKG stress testing including application of 12 lead EKG monitor pads and application leads., • Identifies EKG rhythm and interpretation under physician guidance., • Under the direct supervision of the site physician, applies ACLS algorithms if patients experience complications or cardiac arrest during procedure including administration of resuscitation pharmacological agents, oropharyngeal and nasopharyngeal airway placement., • Completes daily paperwork at customer site to include obtaining physician signature(s), photocopying, scanning, etc., • Maintains inventory of supplies and drugs at hub and on mobile unit., • Complies with established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety and environmental standards., • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
