We are a leading global manufacturer of electrical interconnects and power distribution solutions. Our North American Headquarters is located in Central New Jersey directly off Route 287 is where we maintain significant “on-time” inventory of electrical interconnects that are produced in our factory in Germany. In addition, we are a UL Listed assembly operation that manufactures portable power distribution, control panels, and power cable assemblies. Due to our rapid growth and expansion, we are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive Manufacturing Engineer II to join our team. The Manufacturing Engineer II plays a key role in supporting production and assembly operations. This position provides technical expertise related to system builds—including concept, prototype, pilot, first‑article, and full production builds. Manufacturing Engineer II contributes to product improvement, process optimization, cost reduction, and operational efficiency. This role also involves root cause analysis, design revision proposals, and accuracy audits for bills of materials and routing. Key Responsibilities: Production & Assembly Support • Provide technical support to production teams on assembly and manufacturing issues., • Assist in initial and subsequent builds of new systems, prototypes, and design concepts., • Prepare proposed design changes or revisions to improve product functionality or resolve issues., • Participate in Lean and Six Sigma initiatives including 5S, value stream mapping, and workflow optimization., • Continuously identify and implement cost‑reduction opportunities to improve assembly efficiency and finished product cost., • Research new manufacturing technologies and industry best practices, recommending improvements to current processes., • Review tooling and fixture requirements to enhance assembly processes and reduce inefficiencies., • Prepare documentation for design changes and revisions., • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on product improvements and assembly methods., • Contribute to audits related to BOM accuracy, routing, and design validation. Qualifications: • Certified Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineer; or an equivalent combination of education and experience., • 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, preferably involving cable assembly, portable power distribution equipment, or control cabinet assembly., • Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing, 5S, and Just‑In‑Time (JIT) environments., • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics., • Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks design software., • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working in a production setting., • Self‑motivated, with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. Annual Salary Range: $80,000-$90,000 Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, paid time off and car allowance.
