Job Description JOB DEFINITION: Provide supervision to a team of residential staff providing housing and services to people with psychiatric disabilities. Responsible for the overall functioning of the program and ensuring compliance with agency policies and procedures as well as applicable local, state and federal regulations. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of Associates Degree, Bachelor's degree preferred, in human services EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum of two years of experience in a residential program DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Oversee and supervise all aspects of the assigned residential program(s) and assure that appropriate and necessary services are delivered., • Ensure that all program guidelines, protocols, policies, procedures and regulations are followed., • Participate in the recruitment, hiring, training and ongoing evaluation of residential staff under the supervision of the Program Manager and/or Assistant Director., • Develop of a sense of team through training and ongoing supervision, support and evaluation of residential staff, including disciplinary actions, when needed. Provide ongoing structured weekly supervision to Full Time staff members and Monthly supervision to Part Time Staff members., • Develop staff schedules and submit to the Program Manager by the 21st of the previous month, ensure adequate staff coverage for assigned program and update the staff schedule throughout the month, as needed., • Ensure that residents receive restorative and/or rehabilitative and tenancy support services appropriate to their needs. Directly participate in the delivery and documentation of these services, when necessary., • Review all Restorative Services weekly to ensure all appropriate services have been delivered and submit Medicaid Billing Reports on monthly basis as per program protocols., • Oversee and participate in all Medicaid billable activities and ensure that all documentation is current and in compliance with regulatory guidelines. This includes timely and accurate submission of monthly Medicaid Billing Reports to the Billing Dpt., • Oversee all medication monitoring procedures and assume any medication management related tasks and responsibilities in the absence of a Senior Counselor. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • In absence of Team Leader, direct and supervise staff activities, lead team organizational and service planning meetings and provide direction to staff regarding individual cases., • Perform routine team duties, and have lead responsibility for integrating dual-recovery treatment, family support or vocational/employment training with the tasks of other team members., • Responsible for providing Assessment and Service Planning, Quality Assurance and Improvement Processes, Utilization Review, incident reporting and coordination between ACT and other systems., • Engage in performing assessments, case management, handling crisis intervention, and discharge planning., • Maintains case records and completing documentation on time and in a matter in compliance with federal, state and agency regulations., • Provides direct, Telehealth, face-to-face and/or collateral services to recipients either in the FACT Office or in the community in places and situations where problems arise., • Must be available (along with other members of the FACT Team) on an as needed basis 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including responsibility for periodic pager coverage., • Assists recipients in developing appropriate expectations from treatment., • Strengthens the ability of the recipient to understand and utilize therapy and find resources after treatment has ended through proper discharge planning and termination process., • Exchanges information with other agencies that benefits the recipient, or ensures compliance with regulations and coordination of services., • Utilizes and understand the value of supervision, which increases practice skills, promotes better services for the recipient and preserves accountability to the Agency., • Support the use of data in clinical supervision to inform decision-making, • Identify and implement quality improvement trainings and activities as part of professional development goals, • Ability to cultivate a culture of inclusion for all employees that respects their individual strengths, views and experiences.
