Job DescriptionJob Title: Warehouse Worker Job Description This role supports daily warehouse operations by performing shipping, receiving, stocking, and order fulfillment activities in a fast-paced environment. You will handle a variety of general labor tasks, use RF scanning equipment, and help maintain accurate inventory while following safety and quality standards. Responsibilities • Perform shipping and receiving duties, including unloading, loading, and moving materials within the warehouse., • Stock shelves and storage locations accurately and efficiently to ensure products are easy to locate., • Sort packages and organize items according to established procedures and labeling requirements., • Pick orders accurately using RF scanners and prepare them for packing and shipment., • Pack boxes and orders securely, ensuring items are correctly labeled and documented., • Use RF scanners and RF scan guns to scan, label, and mark products and locations for inventory control., • Assist with inventory activities, including counting, recording, and verifying stock levels., • Operate manual pallet jacks and hand carts to move products and materials safely throughout the warehouse., • Support warehouse production tasks as needed, including material handling, loading, and packaging., • Follow all safety guidelines while working in narrow aisles with equipment and other team members., • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area to support smooth warehouse operations., • Adhere to all warehouse rules and policies, including restrictions on personal electronics and dress code requirements.Essential Skills, • 0–6 months of related warehouse, shipping, or general labor experience., • Ability to perform shipping and receiving tasks, including loading and unloading materials., • Experience or comfort with general labor duties such as packing, picking, stocking, and sorting., • Ability to use RF scanners or RF scan guns for scanning, labeling, and inventory tracking., • Basic understanding of inventory processes, including counting and recording stock., • Capability to operate a manual pallet jack and handle material movement safely., • Strong attention to detail when picking orders, packing boxes, and labeling items., • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment., • High School Diploma or GED.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Prior warehouse experience is preferred but not required., • Experience with warehouse production tasks such as packaging, loading, and material handling., • Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, including organizing and staging orders., • Comfort working with scanners and other basic warehouse technology., • Interest in learning to operate CROWN trucks, with training and certification provided upon permanent hire., • Willingness to follow safety protocols and adapt to changing workload and business demands.Why Work Here? Work Environment You work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with narrow aisles where forklifts and hand carts move frequently in clearly defined, safety-conscious patterns. The facility enforces a strict no-cellphone and no-electronics policy on the warehouse floor to maintain safety and focus. Temperature conditions vary by season: the warehouse is heated in winter to around 60 degrees, while summer conditions can be very warm, with fans and water coolers placed throughout the facility for comfort. Team members should dress in light, breathable layers suitable for changing temperatures. Acceptable footwear includes sneakers, boots, or steel-toe shoes, while open-toe shoes, sandals, flats, and heels are not permitted. The role involves regular use of RF scanners, manual pallet jacks, and other basic material handling equipment in a busy, production-oriented setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dayton, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.25 - $21.00/hr.
