Job DescriptionGas Chromatography Chemist (Pharmaceutical QC | NYC) Join a leading pharmaceutical QC lab delivering high-quality analytical testing. We’re hiring a Gas Chromatography Chemist to perform advanced laboratory testing using Gas Chromatography (GC) and support method development, validation, and compliance activities in a cGMP environment. Key Responsibilities • Independently perform GC testing of raw materials and finished products, • Operate GC instruments with headspace and direct injection capabilities, • Develop and validate GC methods; execute process and cleaning validations, • Maintain accurate cGMP-compliant documentation (lab notebooks, chromatograms, reports), • Support investigations, audits, and regulatory inspections, • Mentor junior chemists and promote lab safety protocolsMust-Haves, • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related scientific discipline, • 4–5 years of laboratory experience (pharmaceutical preferred), • Expertise in Gas Chromatography (GC) method development and troubleshooting, • Familiarity with cGMP standards and QC procedures, • Strong technical writing and communication skillsPreferred, • Experience with HPLC, Mass Spectrometry, and wet chemistry techniques, • Knowledge of FDA and DEA compliance requirementsWork Environment, • Full-time role in an FDA-approved facility, • QC lab team of ~20 professionals Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $85000.00/hr.
